The Twining Jackets 2006
Twining is a collaboration with new media choreographer and dancer, Yacov Sharir. The jacket is constructed by integrating LEDs and electronic circuitry into the structure of the cloth as it is being woven. The LEDs on the back of the garment present scrolling texts. New messages are added by wirelessly sending keywords to the jacket during the dance. The troupe responds to what they see on the back, while the wearer (Yacov) must improvise wit the dancers without knowing what his jacket is saying.
