NARRATIVE CLOTH: TEXTILES, TRANSLATION & TRANSMISSIONS

THE NARRATIVE CLOTH: TEXTILES, TRANSLATION & TRANSMISSIONS   2005-2009

The Narrative Cloth: Textiles, Translations and Transmissions explores ubiquitous computing, mobility and interactivity through the introduction of electronic devices into fabric structures. Three intersecting streams of research were investigated: Animated textiles including the production of interactive fabric panels; Wearable Computing Systems for Performance enabled dynamic clothing systems to display interactive images for dancers and 2 Fold, an investigation of textile research in collaboration with Goldsmiths’ Digital Studios.
