Lucere 2006
Lucere is a 2-panel Jacquard woven wall hanging featuring the image of a lightning storm from a photo by Mike Hollingshead stormandsky.com An ultrasonic sensor detects the distance of people in front of this 2 panel jacquard woven wall hanging. As viewers near the hanging it will detect their position and change the flashing sequence in the LEDs. Lucere was first shown in the exhibition, About Jacquard at the Montreal Centre for Contemporary Textiles and in North Carolina for the Inspired Design: Jacquard and Entrepreneurial Textiles touring exhibition.
