The Tornado Dress. 2007

Barbara Layne & Diane Morin, with Meghan Price & Maryam Golshayan

The dress was first shown at the techno-fashion event, Seamless: Computational Couture in Boston at the Museum of Science in January 2008 and was included in selected garments that continued on to an exhibition in Milan, Italy. The dress was modeled by Aileen Benson with an opportunity to photograph the work in various locations around the Museum, including the "Fog Tornado" (right).

Seamless was co-produced by Lisa Monrose at the Museum of Science, Christine Liu, lifestyle editor at Boston's Weekly Dig & Amanda Parkes, Tangible Media Group at the MIT Media Lab.
