© Studio subTela Early Garments

This handwoven black vest was one of the first garments made at subtela, featuring one 8x8 LED display. The garment was observed & photographed in a variety of situations, including the game room at left, where the array scrolls simple pointed-twill patterns based on common weave structures.

Another rendition of the garment included the text, La Petite Pandore, referencing a marketing trend in in turn of the century France. Small dolls, called La Petite Pandore and a larger version. La Grand Pandore, wearing miniature versions of the latest fashion trends in Paris, were sent to the provinces as a form of advertisement.
